Safe spaces for healing, exploration, and growth
Hello – I’m so glad you’ve found yourself here.
My name is Kasi Sewraj, M.Ed, RP, C.C.C., and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist based in Ontario and the founder of KSPS – Kasi Sewraj Psychotherapy Services. I’m a first-generation Canadian and Indo-Caribbean woman, and this practice is a deeply personal extension of the values I hold close — aiming to create spaces where people from all walks of life feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.
KSPS was built with one vision in mind: to create a warm, welcoming space where people feel seen, and heard, aiming to truly reflect and respect the complexities of life. We recognize that sometimes we must navigate a world that doesn’t always reflect our identities or support our healing. KSPS exists to affirm every part of a person’s lived experience and to offer a space where their story is honoured, respected, and held with care.
Why We Started Our Clinic
At KSPS, we believe that therapy should feel like a refuge — a place where you can let your guard down and reconnect with who you truly are. Mental health care can sometimes feel out of reach or impersonal. Fostering a genuine connection between therapist and client is paramount to our practise. It is of the utmost importance for us that we provide:
- A safe and affirming space for all: All genders, cultures, sexualities, and identities are welcome and respected here.
- Affordable, accessible care: We offer sliding scale rates and reduced-fee spots because we believe therapy should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income.
Our Mission and Values
Our mission is simple:
To provide a safe, healing, and exploratory space for adults (18+) to reconnect with themselves and live fuller, more authentic lives.
We work from a few core values:
- You are the expert: We trust in your wisdom and your lived experience. Our job is to help you access and amplify it.
- Evidence-based, integrative therapy: We draw from proven therapeutic approaches and adapt them to fit you, consulting with you as therapy progresses to ensure that the appropriate approach is being utilized throughout your experience.
- Collaboration at the centre: Once therapy is all said and done, it’s important that you feel you’ve gained more clarity and access to your own voice. Our approach emphasizes keeping your thoughts and feelings on the therapeutic process at the heart of your experience.
Types of Therapy We Offer
We take an integrative approach to therapy — meaning we tailor each session to your goals, personality, and preferences. Our work may draw from:
- Narrative Therapy – Rewriting the stories that no longer serve you
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – Challenging limiting beliefs and building healthier thinking patterns
- Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) – Harnessing your strengths and moving toward your goals
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Learning to sit with discomfort and move toward what matters
- Mindfulness and Meditation – Building awareness, peace, and presence
What Sets Us Apart
We believe therapy should evolve with you — and be shaped by your feedback, preferences, and needs. That’s why we use several tools to make our work together more intentional and effective:
🟡 CNIP – Cooper-Norcross Inventory of Preferences
CNIP is a simple yet powerful tool that helps us understand your preferences as a client. Do you prefer structure or open-ended conversations? Do you value practical skills, emotional processing, or deeper self-exploration? We use your responses to tailor our sessions, ensuring the therapy feels like it fits — because when therapy reflects your preferences, it’s more likely to feel safe, effective, and motivating.
🔵 ORS/SRS – Session & Outcome Rating Scales
ORS (Outcome Rating Scale) and SRS (Session Rating Scale) are brief check-ins we use before and after sessions. They help us track how you’re doing overall, how well therapy is helping, and how strong our working relationship feels. This is a vital part of our collaborative approach — making sure you feel therapy is meaningful, relevant, and moving in the right direction.
Your feedback shapes the process, and we check in regularly to adjust things as needed.
🟢 Assessments
In some cases, we may use mental health assessments to gain deeper insight into your emotional, psychological, or relational landscape. These might explore patterns around anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, or personality. Assessments help ground our work in clarity — identifying areas of focus and highlighting your strengths and challenges. They can also be helpful for personal insight or when formal documentation is needed for accommodations or referrals.
We’re Here to Support Your Journey
Whether you’re here to process something painful, reconnect with your sense of self, or simply have a space to grow — we’re so glad you’re considering therapy. You don’t have to do it all alone. With the right support, change is possible.
If you’re curious about working together or have questions about our services, feel free to reach out or email us at info@kasitherapy.com. We’re looking forward to walking alongside you.
